Because it's not just menopause

Many women are told it's just their hormones.

That the anxiety is normal. That the weight is inevitable. That the fog is part of getting older. That medication for life is probably the answer.

What if no one has been asking the right question?

Perimenopause and menopause are usually treated as a hormone problem alone. But they unfold inside the metabolic environment a woman has spent decades building, and that can begin as early as her mid-30s, years before her final period.

Heard often

What women often tell me.

  • Waking at 3 a.m.
  • Anxiety you can't explain
  • Belly weight gain
  • Irregular or heavier periods
  • Fatigue sleep doesn't fix
  • Hot flashes, night sweats
  • Brain fog
  • Joint aches, stiffness

During and after cancer treatment, women also tell me about sudden menopause, intense hot flashes, “chemo brain,” lingering fatigue, and bone density loss.

These can start in your mid-30s, or overnight after cancer treatment. Symptoms can overlap and may have more than one cause, which is why they deserve a closer look.

An invitation

Who this evening is for.

  • Women 35 and older who want real answers, not reassurance.
  • Women who look like they're managing everything and feel exhausted underneath.
  • Women in or past cancer treatment who were told to simply cope.
  • The daughters, sisters, and friends who will walk this road next.

The question I ask every woman

“How well is she producing and using energy?”

It's the question behind everything we'll cover. So let's sit down together, and I'll walk you through the answer.

The masterclass

What we'll talk about

Care that connects your symptoms, metabolic health, and medical history.

  1. The early signs most women miss, and why perimenopause can begin in your mid-30s.
  2. How insulin, muscle, and stress shape what you feel, from hot flashes to sleepless nights.
  3. Why I look at your metabolic picture before I look at your hormones.
  4. What women during and after cancer treatment need most, including options when hormone therapy isn't one.
  5. When symptoms may not be menopause at all, and what else is worth ruling out.
  6. Five questions to bring to your next appointment.

You'll leave with a clear framework and the right questions to ask.

“After 16 years in menopause hormone therapy, I still look at a woman's metabolic picture before I look at her hormones.”

I started in clinical pharmacy, reviewing everything a woman was taking to see what no single specialist could see on their own. I'm board-certified and fellowship-trained in integrative, functional and longevity medicine, and I lead Alpha Care Wellness Center.
